Amani says "hi" to Daddy on phone!
Just spoke to Stella for about 15 minutes (12:50-1:10pm, my time). She says she and Amani are have a nice, relaxing time in Nairobi. Amani’s not fighting as much with his cousins - Natasha (2 1/2) and Max (a few months younger than Amani) — and he seems to like playing in the puddles (Stella says she has to change him a few times every morning because of this).
Amani’s starting to repeat more words when people ask him to. Stella had him say “bubbles” when we were on the phone. He also said “hi” a couple of times!
Troubling note: Amani’s appetite hasn’t improved in Nairobi. He’s still taking much of anything apart from milk, but his energy level is just fine. Stella says none of her family can believe it!
Stella is hoping to travel to Meru to see her dad next week. She’s been there two weeks and still hasn’t seen him yet.
We actually ran out of time (plus, I couldn’t hear her very well) before I was able to ask her about the political situation, so I don’t think it’s too serious.
